He stated that his father, Robert Love and his family lived in Deer Twnshp in Northumberland in 1780 and he was living in Chester Co at that time, but he returned to Northumberland and enlisted as a substitute for his father. John Love was born May 14, 1764 and on pension application stated that he had a brother, Samuel of Wayne Twnshp, PA who had the family bible. Samuel Love was living in Lycoming Co., PA. in 1833 and was 64 years old. John's widow, Mary Love applied in 1847 at Ovid, NY, so it goes without saying that he died between 1840 and 1847, probably in NY. I would like to make contact with descendants of either of these brothers or anyone from the line of this Robert Love, and I wonder if the family Bible is still in existence. I would love to have some of the information from that Book. Thanks for any information of any kind! I am at a brickwall, and maybe this line could help me get over it. Shirley
