I'm looking for a Jimmy Love, born about 1915-1925 North Carolina....I believe. He had a son with Virginia Gillikin, who was 16yrs old at the time. They never married. He might have not even been allowed to see his son afterwards, by her family. His son grew up never knowing his father. The year was 1944 and Jim Love was in his mid to late twenties, (which would make him about 83 to 87 years old if he is still alive today ~ and if this information is accurate). Virginia Gillikin wasn't sure if he had any military service. He was working for the Federal Government as a Civil Engineer building an Air Port at Atlantic, NC. He met Virginia Gillikin at or near Otway, NC which is her home town and is about 20 miles from Atlantic, NC. He was staying in Morehead City or Beaford, NC but his home was in Durham, NC. She had a son she named Jimmy, in 1945. Jimmy has never known much about his biological father. We are curious about this Jimmy Love, if anybody knows of him. If simply, to find out about the Love family in a genealogical sense. Jimmy Love's son: Jimmy (Gillikin) Moore, is a grown and successful man living in North Carolina, happily married with adult children of his own. He's always been curious about his biological father, and information about him, grandparents, etc etc, as are his children, curious about this Love bloodline.
