Seeking info abt 4th gr grnfa Isaac Love b c1779 SC, d 1830, Pickens Co. AL. Need proof that the "grand son Isack Love" named in the 1793 will of Benjamin Love (1723-1795) of Chester Co. SC is my ances. Benjamin only names a dau (Elizabeth) & two sons, (James,John), stating that his 3 chn have not "come of ago." Benjamin prob had a 1st marr. c1745-55, in (?) PA/VA/Ire, & had chn. Robert Love who lived near Benjamin may have been an older son. In 1775 this Robert served in the New Acquistion Militia of SC, & he enlisted in the 5th Regmt of SC in Mar 1776. On 9 June 1784 Mary Love, Robert's widow, filed for administration of his estate, but facts abt his death have not been ascertained. Mary Love is on the 1790 cen for Chester Co. SC with 2 ma und age 16 & prob these are the "two grand sons Benjamin & Isack Love" named in the older Benjamin Love's will. Did Mary Love remarry aft 1790; if so, to whom? Need to know the surname of Nancy, Isaac Love's wf. My 3rd gr grnfa's middle name was SYLVESTER, also, my gr grnfa's. Suspect that SYLVESTER was surname of an ancesl granmo.
