Tradition says he lived near Blue's Ridge on Drownding Creek, now Keyser, Moore Co., N.C., and that he first married Margaret McLaughlin, and later an unrelated or distantly related Love. His Brothers were: Daniel, Edward, Alexander, and sister Isabel. His dau. June married Alexander McArthur & his son Daniel, married a McLaughlin first, and Annabel McEachin second.
