Cassella Earl Love CASSELLA EARL LOVE, 103, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Arlington, TN, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at Jefferson Mortuary, 7788 Church Street in Millington. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10 at Greater Bush Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 9427 Memphis-Arlington Road in Arlington with burial in Hayes Cemetery there. Cassella was born in Arlington, TN, on November 8, 1902, the daughter of Green and Frances Earl. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to James Love, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise; a son, James Edward; three sisters, Sarah, Mary Lee and Mammie, and eight brothers, John, Guy, Jack, Christopher, Bill, Henry, Willie and Howard. She leaves to cherish her memory a goddaughter, Curtistine Doss (Jerry Doss Sr.), their nine children and their 22 grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are eight grandchildren, James Poole, Henrine Glover, Katherine Fleming, Beatrice Poole, Shirley Walker, Dorothy Poole, Lavern Davis and George Poole; 22 great-grandchildren; 47 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby C. I know that Julius surfaces as a property owner in Ashe County, NC after 1822 as either J.M. Love or Julius M. Love. I am very curious as my Loves seem to be the predominant Loves in this area. My William Love, b. 1776 in NC SOMEWHERE, went from Grayson County, Va in 1835 after raising his kids there TO Ashe County, NC. His wife dies after the 1840 census and in 1850 and 1860 he is living with kids in Kentucky. HOWEVER his son Caleb (only son I have found) retired there, too, his son John Thomas raised his first two kids there and William's daughter Milly Love Ellers seems to have had a lot of her children move there. My wife and I were just poking around and found the messages that you posted back in 2003. I believe we are all related too. My fathers name was Arland John Love and his father was John Hilton Love. His brothers were Lee Love, Frank Love and Joe Love and his sister was Nita Criswell and they lived around the Salida area. The only one living now is Lee. While dabbling in this tidbit of history I think I found the family and quickly learned where most LOVE's are in Ontario at the turn of the century. In my hands I have a copy of a extending mortgage agreement for ANNIE AGNES LOVE TO EMME L. WESTMORE Dated Aug 1926 part lot 140 on east side of Catherine St, (says, "Formally Robert St") Adjoining the property belonging to MYLES O'REILLY in a survey of that said part of the said city of Hamilton made for the late GEORGE HAMILTON, Esquire.
