I do not have the obituary on Rhoda Daboll Budington but I can say with certainty that she lived beyond 1860. She was last noted in the 1860 1st Ward of Jackson County, MI living with her son Thomas A. Budington and his daughter Mary, age 11. Rhoda was listed as a housekeeper and was 78 years old at that time. I could not find anything about her after that. Richard

I'm seeking information about the parents of John Burton Love, who was born in New York on January 10, 1863. His death certificate states his parents were born in Scotland. However, I am assuming John lost contact with these parents at some point since his second wife, Mary Jane Loveday, did not know their names--only that that they were born in Scotland. I am also assuming they immigrated to the United States in late 1862 or early 1863 as census records listing John's birth indicate both "at sea" and England. The most recent record lists "at sea"; however, the death certificate lists New York, which is where his birth would have been recorded if he were born at sea on the way over. Any help would be greatly appreciated. God Bless You and Yours, Donna Love

I'm attempting to location information regarding the Ancestors of John Burton Love, who married Mary Jane Loveday. They had three children of which I am aware: Burton Ivor Love, born in 1899 in Green River, Emery County, Utah; Willis B. Love, born around 1900; and Gladys A. Love, born around 1903. I believe his parents immigrated from Scotland around 1863. Since Mary Jane was somewhat younger than John Burton, it is quite possible he was married once or twice before. The 1900 Green River census indicates additional people living in the household: Peterson, Thurston and Browning. The1920 Los Angeles Census indicates the following additional persons in the household: Dickeson, Ferguson, Gache, and Cameron.
