My LOVE brick wall is a gentleman by the name of Joseph LOVE, so anytime I see an email on this list referring to Joseph LOVE in PA or VA in the 1700's my ears perk up. My Joseph LOVE was born abt 1797 in PA (according to the census). He married Susannah ANDREWS b. abt 1801 in VA (according to the census). I don't know anything else about either family and have been unable to find their marriage certificate. Based on the births of their children, they moved a lot between VA and PA, possibly WV,too. Any connections? Love's Death Certificate. All of the records show Nancy Jordan, but i have just made contact with my dad's youngest brothers', youngest son who still lives in Missouri. With all of my sisters and brother so much older than I,and my never been to Missiour this was great. He has access to the Old bibles and stuff. I cannot find any information on Nancy Grisham who married Isaac Jr. She was born in McMinn County, TN, about 1815 and died 29 Apr 1902 in Phelps Co. MO. But I can't verify her birth date or her parents, or her marriage date or place. Several people have suggested her father as Thomas, but I cannot verify that. Do you have any information? The following is the obituary for Elizabeth Love (my g-g grandmother), wife of George Wild, from The Hamilton Spectator, 1918. In the hopes that someone might recognize a connection. Thanks much and best wishes for the new year. OBITUARY, HAMILTON SPECTATOR FRIDAY APRIL 5, 1918, P. 23 (2 notices) 1. "Deaths and Funerals" Mrs. George Wild One of the oldest residents of this city passed away last evening in the person of Mrs. Elizabeth Love Wild widow of George Wild. Deceased was born in Ireland and was in her ninety-fifth year. Since she was a little girl she had resided in this city. She had been ill for the last four months and passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Marshall, Battery Lodge, York and Dundurn Streets. For many years she had been an adherent of St Peter's church and her death will be sincerely regretted by a wide circle of friends. Besides her daughter, with whom she resided, she leaves to mourn, her demise, a son, James, of this city, and a daughter, Mrs. James Fitzgerald, of Washington, D.C. (discrepancy: see Margaret Wild/Mrs. Harry Marshall's obituary 1944; this sister "Mary" is given as Mrs. Mary Brown, Long Island, New York - a remarriage?)).
