The family went back to Ashe, I know. He is the little brother of my husband's gg grandfather. I can never find any other descendants of this Love line. He was the son of Sibby and Columbus Wagoner (or Wagoner Columbus) Love who went by Lum in later life. Sibby was the much younger second wife - I don't ever see any other children by her. I`m still looking for my mother`s half brothers. Pobert G Love and Charles Bell Love (C. B. or Charlie) born in Shelby Tn. about 1898 and Robert G. may have been born in Liberty, Tx. area about 1902 Don`t know who raised these boys as I think their mother died before 1910. Mother was Minnie pearl Gresham of Ms or Tn. about 1882 I think the boys came back to Tn to live and then their father, my grandfather, died in DC 1921 where he worked for the Navy Dept.The family was from Somerville, Tn and Shelby Co. I have seen more than one source mention or reference a page from the family bible in the pension file (W956) of William Love and his wife Rachel McCool showing the names of their children. I ordered a full pension file from NARA and there was no bible record. Has anyone here run into this problem? Does anyone have a photocopy of that bible page? Brent Cantrell Knoxville

I have a Doc F. Love who died in Wichata Falls TX ca. 1907. He was from NC ca. 1885 and is not too distantly related to me. His anncestor is James Love, whose wife was Mary Ingram, daughter of John Ingram of VA. My GGGGt Grandad, Robert Love was born around Ballyfolliard/Listymore, Co. Tyrone, Ireland in the early 1800s and married Elizabeth Maxwell. Their son, James, was also born in Ireland in 1839 but moved to Scotland and married Ruth Johnstone in 1863 and I have followed the line down from there through Scotland but have never been able to go any further than Robert & Elizabeth, even enlisting the help of a researcher in Ireland, to no avail. My GGG Grandparents, Joseph M. Love(1815-1886) and Charity Hartgrove Love(1810-1896) are buried there. Someone has put up new grave markers and a new Love stone. I would very much like to know who did this and if they are related. There are new grave markers for Florence Love, Ethey Love, and Parker Love. There are no dates on these last stones and I do not know who they are.
