    3. Hi Pat - Long time no talk to - Yes - Thomas Love's son Robert Howard Love was b 1818 in Holly Springs, MS. Since the time the Book & Quarterlies were published - several other children [maybe some presumed] of William "English Bill" have been ferreted out. James who was killed at the same time as his father is one. There is also John, Robert, William, Jr., and Samuel. James and one other brother married Sadler girls. I've seen speculation that one of the Sadler boys married one of "Bill's" daughters. Good to hear from you. 1. [LOVE] Love's on Rootsweb
    2. Henry & Nancy Hanson
    3. On Rootswebs there are 23 entries for my William Love abt 1746, by 13 different authors. I find most of this is accurate information. Some of it I identified in York County. Almost all entries indicated that William and his brother Andrew were the sons of Andrew Love. I believe that might be true but I have not found anything to prove it. William Love and his wife Isabella are buried in the cemetery at Sharon ARP Church, in York County, South Carolina. My line is Martha daughter of William and Isabella, married Joseph Richard Carroll. Almost all the entries say Joseph A. Carroll. Martha and Joseph Richard are buried in the Carroll Cemetery in Chester County, Tennessee and his tombstone proves his middle name was Richard. My problem is taking the family further back or connecting either William or Andrew to any of the other Love Family in the area. I suppose, I am lucky, that our local genealogy group takes a annual researching trip to Salt Lake City. Last year was my first trip and it helps to have others who have been there numerous times to help you with ideas and tips for research. It is worth the trip and group rates don't hurt either. I found a lot of information on the Love Family, it just happens it was not my lines. I feel like we will all find what we are looking for, some sooner than others maybe, but the amount of information that is coming available, it is just a manner of time. The problem is that some have more time than others. Thanks for the responses I have received so far. Henry College Station, TX.

    3. Pat Kennedy here: I have a personal family style book which was written by Joe Allen Love, about his family records starting with William "English Bill" Love and the Chickasaw Loves. The only child listed in this book of William "English Bill" Love is the son....Thomas Love, who was a Loyalist , like his father. And escaped from his home on the night that his father was killed and went to live with the friendly Chickasaw Indians. (etc) William "English Bill" was a brother to James Love, weaver and Robert Love of York County, S.C., who unlike William Love, were both patriots [source: The Love family Historical and Genealogical Quarterly, Vol. II, Jan 1955 and Some Heroes of the American Revolution , by Rev. J. D. Baily, 1924 pg: 251.] Thomas had a son named Robert H. Love by his second wife, Homahota. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lou Love" <llove1039@sbcglobal.net> To: <gmjlove@sbcglobal.net>; <LOVE@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 29, 2007 7:34 AM Subject: Re: [LOVE] Traced ancestry to Robert Love in Frederick,MD -- looking for info > Hi Cuzin Galen: > I'm Louis E.
