It sounds about right they way you explained it.And she & Aaron both joined the Evangelical Church in Lavelle, where Aaron Keim donated a stained glass window to church and I think he was on the board there also.. She had 3 children that I can think of from chalres shoemaker; Ira,emroe, and clerks..From Aaron she had Lottie{she was my g grandmother} There is also a Albert tied into this picture somewhere..And a Gertrude.. Do you remember Love's Grocery Store & Gas Station in Lavelle ?? Howard Love and his wife Madelene owned it ... You can't e-mail me private at [email protected] I'll dig up that marriage record and scan it for you, if you'd like.. Thanks for answering Joanne

    3. Has anyone researched the brothers John and William LOVE, who died in 1718/9 and 1720 respectively in Talbot Co., MD? One of them, perhaps more likely John, is the father of my Sarah LOVE who married George WEST in 1727/8. Does anyone know their relation to Joseph HARDEN or his wife Martha FROMILIER (FROMILLER)? More specific details on this family at the site below. Rick Saunders http://home.netcom.com/~fzsaund/love.html

If my info is correct, her father was William Love, mother Elizabeth Paul. I think her siblings included Henry, Lewis, William. My Love line is from that area (village of Gordon in Butler Township). Elizabeth was from adjacent Barry Township, I think. If any of this sounds right, let me know. Stan

The Chickasaw Loves are allied with the Colberts, Dillards and other prominent mixed-blood families. "English" Bill Love was the progenitor of that particular line. If you do a Google search on Sally Colbert, you should be able to find Kerry Anderson's site. Kerry has done wonderful work on this whole clan.

    3. I like to believe I'm right but willing to change things if corrected. Samuel Love /Dorcas Bell died in 1781. I don't have a son David for him. I have Robert, James , Thomas, Sarah , Mary and William. Samuel Loves brother Joseph Love/Mary Teas did have a son David born 1763 This David married Mary Draper and died 1827 in Tennessee. So I don't know if he is the one you mentioned . /Any body with ideas? Mary Harkey Russell [email protected] http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~bird

William's family was from Massachuetts. His grandfather & grandfather's brothers received bounty land for their Revolutionary War service. The bounty land was in Union & Champaign Counties, Ohio. William's father, was, for some reason, in Harrison County, Virginia for awhile and William was born while the family ws there but lived most of his life in Ohio. Apparently, William & Rebecca lived or visited Illinois for awhile. William had relatives there. I know that they were in Illinois because their son, Francis Owen Cheney, who was my great grandfather was born in Cheney's Grove, Illinois. Thanks for your quick reply.
