I have very little information on the Cunningham's....another reasearcher, from Jane Love and William Cunningham's daughter claims that her ancestor "Mary Love Dickey" was the daughter of Effie Isabella Cunningham and James Dickey, and the name Love comes from Effies mothers maiden name. I can prove back to Jane Cunningham in Ross County, OH. in the 1840's and that Jane Cunningham married James Dickey in Highland County, OH. I found Jane Cunningham a widow in the census living with/next to son William. You may contact me "[email protected]" if you would like. THANK YOU!! Jeannette

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xcx.2ACIB/1898 Message Board Post: I have information showing Robert and Anna Wilkins Burnett as the parents of Sarah Burnett who married Thomas Love of Ireland. He was the son of Gabriel Love, who with his brother Adam migrated to the colonies ca. 1730. I have lately received information that Robert Burnett, with his second wife Sarah Belcher, had a son Isaac (1746) who married Ester Merriam. Their daughter, Arner (1763 Warwick MA) married John Love. It is know that Adam and Gabriel Love had a brother, John, but it has never been confirmed that he immigrated to the colonies. I am wondering if this John Love might have been their brother, or was he perhaps the son of either Adam or Gabriel. My brickwall is Clinton Love, and I think he is from the same line of Loves as the Irish immigrant brothers, but I have never been able to tie him to either Adam or Gabriel. It is suspected that his father's given name was John, since the custom was to name the oldest son after his paternal grandfather and Clinton's first son was John Love. Thomas and Sarah Burnett Love did have a son, John (1764) who was supposedly born after this family moved to RI. My information lists two children for him, Solomon and Mary, but the name of his spouse is unknown. Can anyone help me with any information about the Burnett/Love marriages and their descendants? Thanks, Shirley

The family migrated to Kansas after he married. He was in the area with his wife, Cecelia Rosalet Love Rollins and their children and some of his Love relatives. None of them stayed in the territory too long before returning to Kansas and any record of his final resting place has been lost to time. Any assistance or a point in the direction of where to possible begin looking would be greatly appreciated. Lisa

I also did a search using his age and got nothing that I thought might be him - where was he born? When I searched Oshkosh I found 2 Williams, one aged 69, living alone and one aged 45 with a wife (unnamed) and a daughter Edna aged 17. I searched in nearby counties, also Milwaukee. This one fascinated me since I lived in Oshkosh from 1962-1997. Sara
