Thanks for getting the results posted Rikki. So from those three that look like there's a possible match, did you know already that there might be some relation? Have y'all had any luck in finding a break in tracking down some relationship? Please keep us posted on your progress. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2003 11:49 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [LOVE-L] MORE DNA TEST RESULTS Just to let everyone know, we had another test result show up, AND WE HAVE A MATCH BETWEEN TO PARTICIPANTS. The time has come for us to make our move on this transfer. I know I owe some of you research and I promise I haven't forgotten you. I will be off-line for about 3-4 weeks. Please, please remind me in about a month's time if I owe you research and haven't gotten it to you. I have all the requests in the same electronic folder, but something could slip through. And I don't want to disappoint anyone. See you when we get moved in. Happy time travels! Susan

There was also a "James Love" in early court records of Nashville, Davidson County TN. I believe he was there back in the 1780's at a time when the State of North Carolina was issuing Military Bounty lands in what was known as the Military Reservation set aside on lands in Davidson County. And Nashville (I think) predates the county of Davidson. Hello Michelle, Know your message was a wee while ago but where are your Love's in Scotland from? and what time scale? My apologies to the list as I kind of "lurk" in the background and don't really contribute - always hope that I'll find oneof my lost Love's!! I don't know whether you got a reply to your original questions but it's kind of accepted that MacKinnon is the Love Clan (if we have one) Remember not every Scots person was of a "Clan" or indeed have a "Clan" Cheers Vonnie Scotland ----- Original Message ----- From: Michelle Campbell <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 23, 2003 3:11 AM Subject: [LOVE-L] LOVE clan? > Hi Everyone, > This may be a silly question, but why can't I find LOVE under any Scottish clan sites? My great grandmother was Lillie Love Keeffe, b: 7 Dec 1892, d: March 1972 in Lancaster County, SC. We lived near the state line and actually had a NC mailing address, which makes researching hard for me at the moment. I haven't been researching long and haven't spent much time on this line yet. But would be willing to team up and share what info I do have. I am planning a trip to the area late summer or early fall for several weeks to visit with family members. Just wanted to let you know I am out there also searching what could be the same family line. Thanks, Linda [email protected]

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xcx.2ACIB/1912 Message Board Post: Can anyone furnish any information about any of the following people? According to the records of the 1st Congressional Church of New Haven Ct., there were two marriages regarding Loves in the years between 1758 and 1799. John Love married Abigail Andross on Dec. 2, 1761. Is Andross a Dutch or German spelling of Andrews, or is it spelled any other way? I could not find much under the spelling of Andross. Joseph Love married Martha Tuttle on Feb. 23, 1794. This marriage is particularly interesting to me. We have a gggrandfather, Clinton Love who is a brickwall. His daughter, Clarissa Love married Gilbert Tuttle in Rock Co., WI. in 1855. Both Clarissa and Gilbert were born in NY, but we have long suspected a tie between Clinton's family and the Love families in and around New Haven....which is also a area where several Tuttle families could be found. If you have anything at all regarding any of these people, please contact me through this forum. We may be able to exchange information, which I am more than willing to do about the descendants of this Love/Tuttle tie in Wisconsin, or any of the other descendants of Clinton Love. Thanks, Shirley Love
