    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Plumeria75 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.lostfamilyandfriends.caribbean/31.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Troy! First off let me congratulate you for never giving up no matter how hard things may seem to get!!!! My hat goes off to you! :) Secondly, try to perform some research with any names that may sound familiar to you and enter "LUNA" as the last name. Many of today's "Lewis" family members who originated from Spain have had a name change over the years due to typos or transcriptions. I sure hope this message reaches you someday and is of some help, even a tiny bit would be wonderful! Oh, and one more thing, always remember that there is always someone there for you....even if that one person who is standing by your side isn't of any blood relation....that person is your family! I am speaking from many of life's lessons, please always remember it doesn't take the same blood relation to be called family :) Good luck to you! Author: dwinntexas Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.lostfamilyandfriends.caribbean/1.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, My grandfather was Arthur Benjamin Hassell, born January 13, 1982 in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, VI, and died in Dallas, Texas on January 17, 1986, Both of his parents traced back to Saba. His father Henry Hassell died at sea in 1892, 3 months after he was born. He had a brother, Richard Hassell, of whom I know nothing, possibly died young. I don't know Henry Hassell's parents. His mother Ann Eliza Johnson Hassell, was born on Saba, died September 2, 1937, in Charlotte amalie and buried in the old graveyard by the beach. Her sisters were Mary Eleanor (died 1932 in Charlotte Amalie), Zeporah (died 1933 in Charlotte Amalie) and Ann Rebecca (possibly all three were spinsters). Her parents were ? Johnson and Judith Eleanor ?. I'd love to learn more about both my Hassell and the Johnson ancestors. If you have any information, please write me at dwinn@cailaw.org. Thanks!
