William and Eleanor farmed Rigg farm in Kirkconnel Parish. They are buried in Kirkconnel Churchyard, in the same Lorimer family plot as my ancestors, Robert Lorimer and Janet Weir. William was a nephew to Margaret Lorimer, wife of Thomas Lorimer. Thomas (the son of Robert and Janet), farmed Rigg farm before William took over. Eleanor may have been born in Liverpool, England.
