They farmed a property called Woodend in Penpont Parish. They had 3 sons. Samuel and Elizabeth both died by May 12, 1748. The children of Samuel and Elizabeth Lorimer were baptized in Penpont Parish and were: Thomas Lorimer, baptized 16 November 1739 in Penpont Parish, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. He may have been the Thomas Lorimer of Ingleston farm in Durrisdeer Parish whose estate (in 1796) went to his brother (or brothers), John Robert (or John and Robert) Lorimer of Gavels farm in Kirkconnel Parish. Robert Lorimer, baptized 11 February 1740 in Penpont Parish, Dumfriesshire. He may have been the Robert Lorimer who married Janet Weir and farmed in Kirkconnel Parish, Dumfriesshire. Robert and Janet named their children Samuel, Thomas, William, Marion, and Elizabeth.
