    1. Re: [LOONEY-L] Our Looney Line
    2. As to David Reasons...it is my understanding that he was on his way to Texas. His younger brother, Joseph Kyle Looney also went to Texas and was instrumental in writing some of the "new" Texas Law after the battle w/Santa Ana in what was then Jackson County. David R. married 1st wife Mary ___?___ in TN. They move to Lauderdale County in the early-mid 1800's. I have land deeds of 1835 & the marriage record 1937 for Elizabeth Lentz m. Joseph H. Looney as David was the JP who married them. While in AL David & Mary had a son, James___Looney & a daughter, name unkonwn but she married a fellow by the name of ___Grant. At his point I loose Mary #1; don't know if she died or they were divorced. >From AL he moved on to MS where he married #2 - Mary Ann Fowler (my gg granparents) where they had my g-granny, Ida Ethlyn Looney in Pontotoc Co., MS on 16 September 1858. They did eventually arrive in Texas - - - and 20 years later he was buried in Honey Grove, Fannin, TX 1878. Ginny
