Ok cousins....I just came by an interesting new (1927) "Manuscript" written by Mrs. Nancy Williams Nolen of Santa Ross, Texas. This document was coppied by the University of Texas Archives in June 1932. and has never been published. She starts our, I Nancy Nolen (ne) Williams do this day 19 December 1827 commence to write the final genealogly of my sons, John Wesley Nolen.....and goes on for several pages .... She goes on to say that Job Williams fought in the 1812- 1815 War; Then he took his siblings, Allumbee, LEvi, Leven, Mary, Sarah & Betsy to Little Rock & stayed a few years before coming back to Texas. They all stopped in Ft. Bend Tx on the west prong of the San Bernard River & stayed there for 2 years then moved to Jackson Co. TX (This is where my Joseph Kyle Looney comes in.....) Jackson Co., is today a part of Bexar County @ San Antonio. As was the custom after a war soldiers (Joseph K. Looney) was give a deed to some land there in Jackson County, TX & I have the entire document (in Spanish) from Santa Ana & signed by Estafan F. Austin himself! She says she can't remember great grandfather Looney's name but thought he was born between 1735 - 1740; she also statede that her mothers' "single" sister, Lavinia Looney; says her great-grandfather Looney died in Maury County, TN & his sons were Joseph, William, David, Abraham, Thomas and didn't rememnber the girls... Henry Ernest Looney m Elisabeth Allen whose mother was a Stavanaugh and they left one child, Mary Belinda Looney. JOseph WIlliam Looney was born 25 November 1764 (MN) Lavinia Ernest was 20 Aug 1807. Joseph W. Looney & Lavinia Ernest were married 20 August 1807 and had the following children: Mary Ernest Looney b. 3 November 1808 Elisabeth Looneuy b. 1 May 1810 David Looney b. 4 October 1811 Sarah Looney b 18 March 1814 Annie B. Looney b 30 March 1916 Jane Looney b. 1 April 1818 Henry Ernest Looney b 27 March 1820 Rebecca Looney b. 12 March 1824 Susana Blythe Looney b 21 July 1826 All of these families, Williams, Frazier, Jinkens Looney & Nolen all intermingle in this part of the coutry.
