I have encouraged Dickson ([email protected]) to join our group and to post his line. Family Record of Moses and Susan Looney --------------- Moses Looney was born in Warren Co. Tenn. Jan 18, 1818, and died at Waco, Texas in 1870. Susan DeVault was born in Madison Co. Ala. Jan 27, 1814, and died in Bosque Co. Texas Jan. 10, 1870. Moses Looney and Susan DeVault were married in 1841, and lived in Alabama until after all the children were born. Moved to Louisiana where they lived during the Civil War. They then moved to Bosque Co. Texas in 1866. Frances Asbury Looney was their first child, born march 20, 1842, in Morgan Co. Ala. He first married Miss Mary Francis Lee, from whom he separated after they had one child- (Tom Looney). His second wife was Mrs. Elizabeth Cravy, and to this union was born seven children- four are still living. He died at Rosebud, Texas Jan. 17, 1914. George Martin Looney was born Jan. 4, 1844 in Lawrence Co. Ala. He married Miss Louisa Emiline fields- in Bosque Co. Texas. To them were born a large family of children, but only five are living. One girl, Ida, was killed in a cyclone in Denton Co. May 15, 1896. Uncle George is still living. Simeon Anthony Looney was born Jan 18, 1846 in Morgan Co. Ala. He never married- died in Bosque Co. Texas Dec. 23, 1871. Robert Dancy Looney was born April 14, 1848 in Lawrence Co. Ala. He was married to Miss Eliza Jane Phillips- in Bosque Co. Texas 1875. They had five children, all are still living. He died in Strawn, Texas April 15, 1928. Mary Elizabeth Looney was born Oct 14, 1850. in Lawrence Co. Ala. She married John R.H. Spencer in Bosque Co. Texas July 15, 1875. To them were born ten children- eight are living. She died at Harrold, Texas Dec. 29, 1926. John Wesley Looney was born March 18, 1853 in Lawrence Co. Ala. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Jane Scott May 17, 1871. Two children were born to them, who are still living.
