According to S Walls <swalls@pacifier.com> at the above site (which I call Family Tree: Swalls a13499 [Looney], it's further stated that "His first wife was Ruthie Shortridge. Their three children were: Elizabeth, Joseph, Jr, and John (probably named after John at Looney's Creek.) " Since the Polly Looney marriage took place on 7 June 1829, it is likely that those were the only children borne of that Joseph/Ruthie union.
