This is my direct line: Joseph M Looney was married three times. The first marriage was to Delany. One child: William Benjamin Evans Looney b. 6 Oct 1833. The second wife was Amanda and the third Mrs. Bray whom he was married to at his death. Joseph is listed in the 1850 LA census, but as I recall under an incorrect first name. Here are records in Bienville Parish concerning his death, and the family is in History of Bienville Parish Vol.II p. 638 & 515. There is also some info in records of the First Methodist Church in Grand Saline, TX. The family went from TN, to Arkansas and then to LA where they Joseph joined his father. R. BLoomer
