    3. More information concerning a possible will of John Looney (3), of Robert (2), Robert (1) Looney. Maury County Circuit Court Minute Book, 24 June 1820, pp374,375. THOMAS HOPKINS vs. JOHN LOONEY, Garnishee: "JOHN DERRYBERRY being summoned as Garnishee and duly sworn deposeth.....he is executor of the estate of JOHN LOONEY who was father to the defendant and as executor of the said estate has collected some money that the amount of sales of the estate is $1720........that $70 is to be taken out of said $1720 and that the balance is to be divided into 6 shares to1/6 part of which the defendant is entitled agreeably to the will of John Looney, Sr." A similar statement by JOHN GRAHAM follows. JOHN GRAHAM says he is the executor of JOHN LOONEY, etc. This information is recorded in Leroy Tilton's Manuscripts, Part II, page 9. Elizabeth Looney and I have assumed that Thomas Hopkins, John Derryberry and John Graham married daughters of Capt John Lonney (3) and Elizabeth Renfroe and were protesting the way that John Looney (4) of St Clair Co, AL administered the estate. Does anyone have information on these possible sons-in-law of John Looney (3)? Do any of you have a female Looney who married into the Hopkins Family? Certainly Sarah Looney, daughter of my Robert Looney (4) of Cumberland Co, KY, married a George Washington Hopkins in 1822, but G W was the son of Elijah Hopkins. Robert (4) Looney was the oldest son of John Looney (3) whose will was being contested. Would appreciate information about any connections between the Hopkins, Derryberry, Graham Families and Capt John Looney (3) , who owned the plantation in Warren Co, TN. Thank you. Elizabeth
