Looney B-Oct 18, 1828 in Tennessee possibbly Washington CO. D-July 1, 1898 possibly Whitewater MO. M-Sept 20, 1846 in Greene Co. Tennessee Clarissa P. Nelson B-Sept 16, 1829 in Burke Co. N.C. Devore & Leander Zimmerman ***Lots of notes about this family: William Jesse owned a general merchandising store in Whitewater and was found dead, murdered in his store one night after visiting with a Mr. Kinder who also owned a store. There was an inquest but I don't believe the murderers were ever found. He is buried in the Fairview cemetary along with his mother and father. Now is where it gets tricky: I think Edwards father was William G. Looney B-about 1807 in Tennessee D-April 11, 1843 possibly in Greene Co. TN M-Jan 18, 1827 in Washington Co. TN The possible parents of William G. Looney Edward Looney & Anna Greenway The possible parents of Elizabeth West Edward West & Elizabeth Humphries Does anyone have a connection??????? I have been working on this line for years. First of all we all know how head strong we Looney's can be and many of my relatives didn't care much for Allison Oscar Looney. I have had relatives that told me I should leave sleeping dogs lie. Both of my grandparents are gone. The rest of us are scattered everywhere and don't keep in touch like most families. I am hoping to get this line traced so I can give it to everyone and hope this makes us feel more connected. If anyone out there is related to William Jesse Looney, I have copies of court documents from the Jackson Riverside Library microfilm, I will be happy to share this information. I am particularly interested in J. D. Looney (Daisy), Allison Oscar's sister. I have been looking for her for years.
