Several of the Looney family at one time lived in Mississippi. My David Reason Looney lived in Pontotoc Count, MS for several years. He owed a large plantation there which was overtaken by the North during the Civil War. David was born in Sumner County, TN; he also lived for a time in Lauderdale County, AL and Fannin County, TX Guess they loved the travel & excitement of a new adventure....
