So we know he was there from 1844 to 1850....

If you hear anything, Melinda, please pass on. I have been researching this group for years and have not come up with anything. If this William Looney is truly from Vermont, it is unlikely he is from the original Robert Looney who immigrated to the Isle of Man. However, it is interesting that he was born in Vermont and migrated to Mississippi. Could be census taker's error on his birth location.
