On behalf of the villagers of Simiane-la-Rotonde in Provence, southern France, I am searching for living relatives of this man, one of the five RAF crew members who died when their Wellington bomber crashed into a nearby hillside on the night of 10th May 1944. The names of the crew are on that village war memorial and it would be wonderful if any family members could be told about this. Kenneth's parents were Walter James Jackson [bn 1871, probably at 2 Angola Mews, Kensington] and Ada Florence Clark [bn 1881, possibly at 124 Seymour Place, Marylebone ] who married on 26th December 1914 at Christ Church, Notting Hill. Walter’s father was Samuel Jackson, cab proprietor, born circa 1834 Northamptonshire; Ada’s father was Richard Clark, horsekeeper and cabman, born circa 1855 in Upminster Essex. I have researched the siblings of Kenneth’s parents to some extent, too, but thought this mailing list might be an easier route.
