I have the following from the LMA through Ancestry, in the London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906, showing Register of Births in the Workhouse of the Parish of St. Pancras. Captain T. Miller, Master. Date 1888, June 25. Female, Name of Parents or Mother: Carter, Ellen, Legitimate, In what name Baptised: Ellen. Also, I have in the 1891 census: William Carter Age 24, b, abt 1867, Head. Spouse Ellen Carter, Bethnal Green, Parish St. Jude, London. Reg. Dist. Bethnal Green, ED 17b Piece 260 Folio 89, Page 6. Ellen Carter 21 and Ellen Carter 2. After that William and Ellen (the parents) become William & Ellen Holmes. The daughter later becomes Ellen Wilbraham and her daughter gives her death and birth as: Ellen Wilbraham, October 1, 1971 B. January 19, 1888, London. I had asked before about haveing the LMA staff do a search for more information and was advised that I should have something for them to work on. I still can't find any previous sitings for either William or Ellen, but I don't want to give up. If someone has done searches at the LMA, I thought they might have some suggestions as to what they think I might have the staff look for. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Bob Ellis, Canada.
I'm not sure if the East of London Family History Society covers this area but it's worth taking a look http://www.eolfhs.org.uk/ Rosemary On 6/21/2015 4:19 PM, Bob Ellis via wrote: > I have the following from the LMA through Ancestry, in the London, England, > Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906, showing Register of Births in the Workhouse > of the Parish of St. Pancras.
