Could this be our John Thomas Willcox, or > another John Willcox? snipped rest Previously we discussed John and marriage to Sophie Bygraves. I suppose the relationship to William or Rebecca is through one of his parents. Did you know his parents? If not Was a father on his marriage cert? Otherwise this would appear to be his birth John Thomas Willcox Jan-Feb-Mar 1850 St London, Surrey 4 523 actually St Olave but freeBMD transcribber missed Olave. You might like to send a correction to FreeBMD so anyone else looking will see you as a contact.... (1851 census had William in transcription and I've submitted alternate as Willcox) and this looks like his baptism John Thomas Willcox bap 28 Aug 1850 birth date 15 Feb 1850 matches reg quarter Thomas Willcox Elizabeth Willcox Bermondsey Christ Church Southwark I looked for marriages in London LMA lists of the above Price but not seeing any. Appear to be baptisms for children to the Price's back to 1828.. And Willcox earliest Mary Ann Willcox 23 Sep 1838 Thomas Willcox, Elizth Willcox Bermondsey St Mary Magdalene Thomas is a mariner as per 1850 baptism in which case this is likely Elizabeth Pockneall Thomas Willcox Marriage 18 Jan 1836 Bermondsey St Mary Magdalene Southwark it looks like that or Porkneall but Ancestry have also indexed as Pocknell So if Thomas as father matches the marriage cert then I would suggest buying the 1850 birth cert to check mother is Pockneall - PS please don't multi post to other lists I had to chop Surrey off my reply - else I get a reject note as I am not a member Ron Lankshear -Sydney NSW (from London-Shepherds Bush/Chiswick) try my links http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~lankshear
