Anthony, She did marry in England, again according to all Australian certificates - on 30 November 1880 in Stockport Cheshire but there is no sign of the marriage in the Cheshire indexes. I contacted the Cheshire Free BMD list and they informed me that no marriages took place in Stockport on that date. I do have a photo of the happy couple - the usual - man sitting and woman standing and a ring clearly on view. I know the husband`s parents and family but know nothing about Gerty Rivers despite years of searching, I thought there may be some new indexes available in London that might throw some light on her?
