    3. Stowage is the name of a street in Deptford, but its just Stowage, no street, road, lane, etc. St Nicholas with St Lukes is on Stowage. The Thames path goes along it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jill Human <jillhuman@yahoo.co.uk> Date: Sunday, November 6, 2011 6:45 am Subject: [LON] James Randfield 1793 > I am hoping somebody can help me with an interpretation of > handwriting!James Randfield is recorded as being baptised on > 17.03.1793 at St Nicholas, Deptford. > > I believe his parents were James Randfield and Saince Burroughs who > were married on 20.12.1790 at Christchurch, Spitalfields. > > However on the original document of James junior's baptism the > parents have been transcribed as 'Sborch' followed by ( what looks > like) Labourer in the 'stowage'.  Can someone with more experience > than me fathom this one out?  > > > The plot thickens!
