    3. Hello All, I am trying to identify where EDWARD SAMUEL PASCALL was born. He was found in 1901 with wife, EUGENIE PASCALL nee RENOUF born Jersey, at 70 Lawrence Ave., East Ham, Living on own means and stating born Car..................USA. There is no such place according to Google maps and I can't determine exactly what is written..... As he is not found before or afterwards, and he is stated as deceased by 1911, I was hoping to get some idea of where he was born. I have their Marriage in Poplar Middlesex 1887, but no idea from that....... AND just to add to my brick wall, although they had two children 1888 Lionel Edward Ernest Peter Pascall in Poplar and 1890 Alfred H A Pascall West Ham I cannot find the family in 1891 Census. Any help very much appreciated.....I'm stumped, perhaps a fresh set of eyes may be able to help. Cheers, Robyn Australia

    3. It reads like Carmaphack, West Mane presumably West Maine hence a statistician has written USA. But could it all be wrong in that the enumerator could not read the writing or get clarification and its something or other in West Ham??? I agree no sign of in 1891 or Edward in any other census including USA....... Also why is Alfred shown as born Lincolnshire and yet registered in West Ham..... Have you seen the boys birth certificates do they add anything and the marriage any witnesses that might be related to Edward? 3. Hi Ron, As someone who has never been to England I've got no idea as to why he was shown as born West Ham and Lincolnshire, except one opinion was that perhaps the child was registered somewhere other than where he was born...... I have not bought any certificates for this family, as it is not mine, I'm doing it all for a friend who is related to a later Pascall family member and I have access to the various sites without naming names. I'm wondering why the family is not a unit in 1890 census just at the time Alfred is born. Even if Edward was sailing off somewhere, one would have thought Eugene should have been around........ Anyway, thank you for your thoughts and suggestions......For some strange reason their Marriage which was registered Poplars, London 1887 is not in the London Marriage Indexes, as that may have given me more information.....for my current subscription.
