    3. Thank you all for your helpful comments: 1. Sarah Ann CURLINE and her marriage to George WILD in 1853. With this knowledge I was then able to find their deaths here in Dunedin, NZ 2. Ann Sophia RILEY (nee DURANT formerly CURLINE). It appears Ann Sophia RILEY was possibly widowed (for a 2nd time) about 1859 or 1860 with the death of her husband James RILEY, glass silverer. Are there Cememtery records for Holborn area for this time period? I am making what I hope is a sensible conclusion that Ann Sophia RILEY and her daughter Mary Ann RILEY went back to the CURLINE surname and followed Ann's son to NZ in 1866. Again many thanks all those who emailed me. Regards Jennifer HUDSON Dunedin NZ

Burials then took place mostly in the new big cemeteries, either private ones or local authority ones. Have a look at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/hitch/gendocs/cem.html for some ideas about where someone from Holborn would be buried. http://www.sjfisher.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Cemeteries_London.htm might also be helpful.
