Hi Jenny, No, I am sorry but my family were in Beccles, Suffolk by 1844, so I don't think the first William is any relation to me. I do have a William Barnard who was born in Beccles in 1833. In the 1861 census he was in Heigham, Northwich and still unmarried. He said he was 24 when in fact he was at least 27/28, but many people gave incorrect ages of course. He would have been been 35 in 1868 and I was unable to find any trace of him after 1861. Do you know where William married in 1868 was born or where he was married? Thanks for your response.
