Doing a FreeBMD search for the death of a Henry Saunders for that date range, there is only one for which the age is about right: and he happens to have the second name John. In addition, the Registration District is Hackney, which is very close to White Hart Lane. This was in 1898Sep, reference 1b 372. A few pounds spent on obtaining the certificate could pay off.
