    1. [LON] Frederick Chapman John Johnson
    2. Martin Johnson
    3. Frederick Chapman according to the documents we have in Australia came from Appleford Berkshire, but he had been a cheesemonger in London from at least 1823 to his departure in 1840. On his marriage to Sarah Sophia Berry at St George's Bloomsbury in 1839 he was living at 6 Grey's Inn Lane. He was over 40 when he married! Is it possible he had relations in London? Was he married before? We think his parents were John and Mary Rivers or Ann. Alfred Johnson born London around 1829, parents John Johnson and Catherine Ronan who we think were married at St Pauls Shadwell in 1811, left London (we think) he said his Father was an Excise Officer/Customs Officer but investigations at Kew of all the John Johnsons there seem to rule them all out. He seemed to turn up at a Boys home in Bristol on 1841 Census never to be heard from again until he married in Castlemaine Victoria in 1857. We have been looking since 1985.
