Hi List, Recently in London and to avoid the crowds, chose to visit some lesser known museums and galleries. The Foundling Museum is between the British Museum and the British Library at 40 Brunswick Square, Bloomsbury and is well worth a visit. Beautifully curated and tells the story of the Foundling Hospital created by Thomas Coram. I shed a tear or two! Check out the website: www.foundlingmuseum.org.uk To rest your weary feet, there is a very nice cafe attached - and, no crowds!! The walk to and from Russell Square was interesting around the back streets. I also spent some time looking up records at the Greenwich Hiistory Centre located in the grounds of the Woolwich Arsenal - another interesting and out of the way location and accessible by Thames Ferry which is a lovely way to travel. Cheers!.......Judy. Perth. W.Australia
