On his marriage certificate it states he is a bachelor, that does not prove he was of course His father is given as John CHAPMAN a Farmer Unfortunately there are no Frederick CHAPMANs baptised at Appleford in the period There are two CHAPMAN baptisms, and to a John & Mary 21st Mar 1801 George CHAPMAN son of John & Mary (LONG?) & 1st July 1801 James CHAPMAN son of John & Mary (LONG?)
