    3. I have Judith Anne Charlotte NERI baptised at St James Westminster on 8 June 1814, daughter of Patrick & Mary Anne NERI. His occupation was "Esq.". I've found her parents' marriage (11 Jan 1805 St George Hanover Sq.) and baptisms of siblings, but no births for either parent. Does anyone know anything of the name "Neri" - its origins ? Judith next shows up in Paris as Judith Charlotte Anne O'Kennedy - this is given as her maiden name on the birth certificate of her son, but some documents also show the "Neri" as part of her name. I would like to trace her parents back - possibly her father was Irish which might mean the end of the trail! Any thoughts would be welcomed. I haven't found the family on any censuses, apart from one sister. Jeanette

    3. I have two snippets to offer: 1. Found via Quicksearch (TNA): Records of Sun Fire Office MS 11936/448/828076 6 February 1809 Insured: Patrick Neri 12 York Street Portman Square esq Other property or occupiers: 134 York Street These documents are held at Guildhall Library. It may well be possible to add to this picture using rate books. 2. Found via "London Lives": Middlesex Sessions: Sessions Papers - Justices' Working Documents SM | PS June 1793 LL ref: LMSMPS508850018 Patrick NARY found Not Guilty. Possibly the same man. The L.M.A. may have more information about this case. I would be interested to see the full text of the 1805 marriage.
