I have found an Eleanor SMITH with father Thomas she is born Little Waltham circa 1854, but do not find her in 71 or in 1881 (presumably by that time a LEWIS ?) Is the Harry MOORE hers? If so was she waiting for her first husband to die before marrying Charles perhaps Although she may be in an asylum somewhere (often under initials only) isn't it possible she went off with the milkman There is this E M of the right age but no POB 1891 England Census about E M Name: E M Age: 38 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1853 Relation: Patient Gender: Female Civil parish: Friern Barnet Ecclesiastical parish: St James County/Island: Middlesex Country: England Registration district: Barnet Sub-registration district: Finchley ED, institution, or vessel: London County Asylum Neighbors: Piece: 1058 Folio: 117 Page Number: 16 Household Members: Name Age <snip> E M 38 married dressmaker (female no place of birth given) <snip> RG12; Piece: 1058; Folio 117; Page 16; GSU roll: 6096168.
