    3. Thank you to all who sent me information regarding the Strand and Strand on the Green. I am searching for my elusive COWDRY ancestors who were brush manufacturers at 40 the Strand in the late 1700's /early 1800s. I have been unable to find the parents or birthplace for WILLIAM, JOHN, RICHARD, GEORGE and JAMES COWDRY. I found a document on A2A which refers to a William Cowdery and his son also named William, leasing property at Strand on the Green-I thought there may have been a connection to William Cowdry living in the Strand. I have found marriages for WILLIAM COWDRY and ESTHER BRANCH on 23 September 1792 at St. Martin In The Fields, and JAMES COWDRY and MARY DRUMMOND on 2 December 1794 at St Martin In The Fields.this may have been James' first marriage. At the time of his death in 1839, WILLIAM COWDRY was living at 40, the Strand. His will was proved at London on 5th July 1839. I am interested in finding further information on JAMES COWDRY. Thank you for any assistance, Barbara
