I am presently waiting for a reply from St. Mary Abbot re Parish BMD record entries between 1722 and 1739, thanks to a reply which was given some time ago on this list. Meanwhile if anybody spots an old BECHER entry, 1722 to 1739, anywhere I am still looking for my missing link which attaches me to the main Becher family tree. My 5x Gt Grandfather Lionel George Becher married(?) Ann Lake/Leake who was living with her mother Sarah Lowden/Lake/Leake in Gravel Pits Kensington in 1722 while Lionel was stationed in Kensington as an ensign in the Guards. Someone would have had to pay for his commission. That year there was an Edward Becher as Mayor of London??. Anne was brought up a Catholic though Lionel was not, hence my search in progress at St. Mary Abbot. I have been through many other LDS films including clandestine at Fleet. I have been searching records for over 20 years and have many documents, letters, Wills etc from the archives Apart from their marriage there are two children, Ann Lucy and Joyner, (my 4xGt Grandfather), who must have been/probably baptised somewhere. Grateful thanks for anything. Eileen http://www.epfranchi.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/page1.htm
