    3. JK, General correspondence and administrative papers for the Bow Street patrols are in MEPO 2/25. I don't know if there will be any information on individuals, other than in passing. http://tinyurl.com/6zngenm If he transferred to the Met in 1839, I think his warrant number should be in the range 14551-15805. This range is covered by the Alphabetical Register of Joiners in MEPO 4/333, which should give name, rank, warrant number, division, dates of appointment and removal, and names and addresses of referees. But maybe you already have all that information? Probably Kew suggested MEPO 5/9 since that series of correspondence includes details of some early pension payments. I haven't looked at MEPO 5 myself, so I'm afraid I can't advise further, sorry! HTH Judy London, UK -----Original Message----- From: london-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:london-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Emscote FH Has anyone any knowledge of specific MEPO? numbers for the Bow Street Horse Patrol? I have background on them, also have the man's details from Historial collection at The Met collection: joined 1823, transferred 1839, left Met 1847 R div SE London with ill pension. They suggested I look at MEPO5/9 - I've contacted Kew and has a rather general reply, so know I'll need to go there. I've also downloaded the leaflet. Any other suggestions would be very welcome. JK
