Hi Sarah and Jon, Have looked at Ancestry images, and of the 2, it looks more likely to be the St Martin Ludgate one, as the other was a bookseller. The St Martin Ludgate one was living at Ludgate Hill. His wife was Esther Amery. John was a Vintner. But there ends any reference to that as an occupation in the censuses. In 1841 he was "Ind", living in Finsbury, Islington HO107/664/8....and born in Ireland. He was with Esther, Thomas, 15, and 4 younger daughters. In 1851 he was at 2 Vale Pl, Fulham, and was a clerk, "Daily News Journal". We learn that he was from Dublin, and Esther was born in Wandsworth, Surrey. Quick look didn't find him in 1861...possibly transcribed wrongly. 1871, he (aged 79) and Esther and two unmarried school mistress daughters and a 15 yo grandson, also John, were in Paddington. John was an Annuitant. Could the grandson be Thomas' son from 1st marriage? Thomas' baptism entry is a bit of a dog's breakfast, but I think says, "Said to be born 22nd Nov 1822. Bapt 22 Dec 1822. Recd into the congregation 1st Jan 1824." And the heading on the top of the page says, "St Martin Ludgate in the City of London, 1823"! Hope this is yours, tho will give you more work, I think....
