Hello, I am new to the list. I have been investigating various Rawlins Watchmakers in search of the family of my 3 great grandfather, Samuel Rawlins, who was identified as a watch finisher on the baptismal records for his children in 1845 at St. Barnabas Finsbury in Middlesex. I have come across a George Rawlins of Whitechapel who took on several apprentices in the 1770s and early 1780s. I have a copy of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World by Brian Loomes who also notes a George Spencer Rawlins, in London in 1802. I would love to know where I might look for parish records. I would appreciate any ideas of how to do more research on this family. Thanks, Bev W
