Just shows that you should check that you are addressing your email to the right place :) Jan To: london-l-request@rootsweb.com Subject: William and Eliza (nee Metcalf) both b 1812-1816 Enfield Middlesex Date: Wed, 8 Jun 2011 18:55:10 +1030 Where did these people go? On the 1841 Census, they are in Edmonton (Ref HO107/652/8) Living at perhaps Bury Street? (can’t read it very well) with their 4 children, Rosina, John Mary and William. On the record there is another Elizabeth aged 20, and on the original of the census a Thomas aged 20, who I think are William Snr’s brother and his wife, but haven’t proved this yet. Daughter Rosina dies in 1853 aged 21 – address in register is Love’s Row (Edmonton? Enfield?) but I can’t find any of the family in 1851. There is another daughter born abt 1840 named Elizabeth, but she must have died before the 1841 census as she is not on it. I haven’t found her death though. I have looked under Tookey, Tookie and Tooke – to no avail. I did find the bapstism for William Jnr and the mysterious Elizabeth spelt as Tookie. Please can sks help me with this one – I’d love to find them, or at least what happened to them. Regards Jan Moon Pottsville NSW Australia
