Hi Katie The system went live a little while ago I haven't used the system as yet but its been reported (just) that it works well, is £6 each and is a pdf with a delivering by email given as the 16th Nov Whether that date goes forward with the volume of orders I don't know It only covers the births for 1837 to 1915 and deaths 1837 to 1957 Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 09-Nov-16 9:44 AM, gallorosso wrote: > Apologies to the list for this general query but it may be of interest to > others hoping to order BD records for the London and other areas: > > > > I understand that, from today, the GRO are running a pilot under which we > can order birth and death records in PDF format to be emailed to us. Thank you, Nivard Sounds like a good start. More expensive than the Scotland records, but still better for family historians than the England & Wales GRO snail mail option. I do know the pilot is due to run until 30th November or 45,000 PDFs, whichever is earlier, so I hope the infrastructure is in place and can cope. Now to find where on the site I can order a few PDFs.
