I am having a terrible time trying to find my brick wall in London. I have Elizabeth LEECH marrying Thomas JONES 16 JUL 1728 at Saint Anne And Saint Agnes Aldersgate, London. On the marriage record it states Elizabeth Leech was from parish of St Clement Danes and Thomas Jones from the parish of St Brides. The LEECH's were brandy distillers in St Clement Danes. I have no idea what occupation Thomas Jones was and have looked at many wills/gazettes and newspapers, but found none with right family. There is a family in St Brides of Thomas Jones and Elizabeth, living in Salisbury Court. I originally thought that was my family BUT The Thomas Jones there died in 1760 aged 63 and Elizabeth died 1768 aged 68. NOW - i have found through the will of a cousin Mrs Ann Heath of Martyr Worthy, Hants, in 1769, that she makes her cousin Mrs Elizabeth Jones the executor and Elizabeth Jones appears on the 12th Day of October 1769 and takes oath to prove the will. This is then changed on the 23rd Day of May 1770 due to her being deceased, her daughter, Mary Jones, now Beal, who the natural and lawful daughter who administers the will. Mary Jones married James Beal at St Mary's, Hampton, Richmond Upon Thames on 30th May 1758. Her parish was St Bride's. The only death i can find within those dates above is: Elizabeth Jones 30 March 1770 Westminster Middlesex. (from All England Select Deaths and Burial at Ancestry.com) but no other info given. Can anyone give me tips on how to find this family... Any help would be appreciated. Cheers and thanks Jo
