    1. [LONDON] 1841 Census

    3. I have been at a loss to find James Watson in the 1841 Census.  The 1842 trade index shows that he lived at 82 Berwick St. Soho as a brush maker.  The 1851 census shows his wife Mary Ann (b1787) as widow with her son Robert B (b1830) living on a street over, with her now being a brush maker.  Looking thru the 1841 Census sheets I have only been able to find Berwick St. up to house number 50.  At one time the UK National Archives listed each street in the UK by district and where to find them on the census sheet.  Sadly this link is now broken.  As well they had listed what census sheets had been lost, and this as well does not seem to be available.  Any help in finding the current  National Archives links or James Watson in the 1841 Census would be greatly appreciated. With thanks,Scott BCanada

    3. I think parts of Berwick St. are missing from the 1841 Census. You may be able to get his 1841 address from rate books, which are indexed on-line at FMP, and/or land tax returns (via Ancestry). Kind regards, John
