    3. Hi List I have been hunting for the 1861 census recording this lady and her family for a little while but a bit stumped. Wonder if anyone else could shed any light. Working backwards *1881* She is in West Ham, 8 Eton Terrace in the same house as George and Mary Ann Anthoney who I think are probably her parents. She is married to George [Booth] Cross [1843 Cheshire] and has two children George and Fanny. I suspect Elizabeth Esler shown in the same house, is her elder sister as she is recorded as Elizabeth Jane Anthoney in the marriage registration. *1874 *Found a marriage to George [Booth] Cross dated 12 July in St Thomas Stepney where she is recorded as 17. Only been able to see a transcription of this so not sure what else might be gleaned from the actual record. *1871* I have found 2 census records, the first which I feel confident is the right Rebecca the second I think may perhaps be a mistake. Thoughts on that would be very welcome. 1. As a servant aged 15 [born 1856 Poplar] in the Gowland Household 2. As a daughter to George and Mary Anthony but born 1863 Bromley Middx. [which would only make her 11 in an 1874 marriage] There was a Maria born 1864 so might it in fact have been her? *1857* There is a birth registration for Rebecca Anthoney Q3 Poplar but I have been unable to find a parish record for her or any other sibling born between 1853 and 1864 (at least Elizabeth 1854 and John 1855) *1853* Wedding registration of George Anthoney [possibly George Taylor Anthony 4/4/1827 Chesterfield] to Mary Ann Fox nee Hanson. St Anne, Limehouse None of the above maybe any help of course, but I would particularly like to view the 1861 census as hopefully this will confirm the children born between 1853 to 1861. Many thanks for any help forthcoming on this. Berry
