Valerie How old were the children left behind? Many immigration schemes had fairly strict criteria as to ages/number of children per couple. I see some of the children would have been old enough to go into service/ get a job of some description by 1889. In 1881 they are listed with only 4 children [with a gap where some could be missing] Judy > Hi List, > > Could some kind person help me understand what could have happened to some > of my ancestor?s children.
