I have posted an extensive family tree on some members of the Lloyd/Aylesworth/Wellwood/Drennan family in Canada (and to a lesser extent in the USA) on RootsWeb at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=samaylesworth001 I hope that other members of our extended family may find this information be of value. My paternal grandparents were William Perry Aylesworth and Sarah Charlotte Lloyd. Charlotte's mother was Sarah Ann WELLWOOD, whose father was William James WELLWOOD and whose mother was Mary Drennan. To date I have been unable to find much information on the WELLWOOD family nor on the DRENNAN family. I requested a search of information in Ontario, but OGS (Ontario Genealogical Society) staff have been unable to locate anything that links to my family. All that I know so far is: - Mary Drennan was born in Ireland (don't know where & know nothing about her parents or siblings) - She married William James Wellwood. The marriage probably occurred in Ontario, Canada - They had at least two children: Sarah Ann Wellwood, born July 26 1847 in Newburgh or Newboro Ontario AND William Wellwood, born about 1851 in Ontario - Sarah Ann Wellwood married Simon Ferguson Lloyd, who had been born in Gananoque, Ontario in 1848 - One of their daughters, Sarah Charlotte Lloyd, was my grandmother. She was born in 1878 in Gananoque - Sarah Charlotte ("Lottie") married William Perry Aylesworth on Aug 2, 1899 in Beresford Ontario. They were my grandparents. I have obtained quite extensive information on the Lloyd family, which can be found in the family tree referred to above. I would welcome contact with and further information from members of the extended LLOYD, AYLESWORTH, WELLWOOD and DRENNAN families in Canada and beyond.
